News - Elise White Exhibition
6 - 31 March 2007
From an early age, Elise White has always loved drawing and painting.
She studied at Brunel Technical college from 1992 - 1996, where she gained a BTEC National Diploma and a Higher National Diploma in Design and Illustration.
After a break, two years ago Elise took voluntary redundancy from her job and started painting seriously again.
She has a fascination with African Wildlife and takes all her own photographs from zoos and wildlife parks around the country as well as collecting photos so she can then create her own original compositions.
She paints in Watercolour and likes to experiment with colour sometimes using the pure paint from the tube mix and blending it together on to the paper.
Everyone knows that zebras are black and white, elephants grey, but by using alternative colour it gives her paintings a vibrant and contemporary Style.
