About

The Picture Framers Chelvey is a vibrant Picture Framers, which opened in 2004. Formerly based in Cleeve on the A370, we have just moved to Brockley Lane in Chelvey.

This website will change to reflect our new move in due course, please bear with us.

History

Gallery 370 started in 2004, beginning life as picture framer and photographic gallery. This quickly grew to incorporate local artists and crafts people. In 2007, the art and photography exhibitions stopped and the gallery continued to house collections from other local crafts people.

Framing has always been the backbone of the business, which is run by Georgina Micklethwaite and Andy Hale. The business has continued to grow over the past few years, and the team (including Frank, the framing dog!) now focuses solely on framing, with hand-finished frame ranges proving the most popular.

The new site features a living room, where customers can come and make themselves at home, browsing inspirational books while they wait. This relaxing area features local designers and makers, such as Quincy lampshades and on-site neighbour Jim Sharples’s coffee table.

The Picture Framers Chelvey work closely with their clients, ensuring that every frame is made with a personal and creative touch. Their love of framing is apparent in everything they do, from choosing the right materials to creating a frame that displays the item at its best and reflects the character of the owner. They are so passionate about the art of framing that they run a blog and write online articles through the persona The Framing Fairy. Visit framingfairy.wordpress.com or keep in touch via Twitter @framingfairy.

All framing is undertaken on-site in the open plan workshop. Details & services provided can be found in our Framing section.
